Giving to St. Giles School

St. Giles School has always strived to provide a quality education, at an affordable price, for all who express a desire to have their children attend our school. It is not difficult to imagine then, that every year this presents us with a challenge as costs continue to increase for the school, just as they have for all consumers in our economy.
A gift given to a St. Giles fund or a donation to a St. Giles fundraiser is critical to our school's bottom line. Tuition and fees pay for 70% of the school's annual budget while fundraising accounts for about 10% of our revenue. Click below to view the lastest Annual Report.

Fundraising Events

A donation to St. Giles School is an investment in the future. There are several ways to support St. Giles School.

Lion’s Leap

Now in its 23rd year, this annual student fundraiser is a month of sharing our spirit and a day of running to support our school.  Mark your calendar! The Lion's Leap Rally was Friday, September 16th and the event was Thursday, September 29th.  UPDATE - We have now reached our goal of $100,000 for this year!!  The kids have earned a Fun Fair to take place in February 2012.  We will still be graciously accepting donations for Lion's Leap!

The Lion’s Pride

A fun evening for adults, The Lion's Pride is a benefit auction held the first Saturday in May.  More details can be found at the "Auction" tab on the left.

Fund Appeals

Annual Fund
Each year a mail appeal is sent to alumni, parishioners and friends of SGS. This year the Annual Fund celebrates our Blue Ribbon Award and asks donors to "Ensure Blue Ribbon Excellence."  To make a donation to the Annual Appeal, download the materials here.
Margaret Stewart Tuition Assistance Fund
St. Giles School wants to ensure that every parent who wants to send a child to a Catholic School, can, regardless of ability to pay. The Tuition Assistance Fund subsidizes tuition for families that may not be able to enroll otherwise. The fund is named in memory of a wonderful teacher who spent her retirement years as our librarian after teaching English for several decades. To make a donation, you may use the 2011 annual fund gift form above.

Teacher Appreciation Fund
St. Giles is an excellent school, in part because of a faculty that is filled with highly educated, competent people with a great capacity for caring. Each year our staff is awarded a Christmas bonus through the generosity of school families who contribute to a special collection in November/December.

Endowment Fund
In 1986, St. Giles pastor Msgr. Frawley had the foresight to establish a school endowment to insure continued dedication to our mission of educating children in the Catholic faith.
