2012 Annual Fund - Building the Kingdom of GodSt. Giles School is thriving in a multitude of ways, thanks to the ongoing support of our generous donors. We strive to prepare students to be people of faith, lifelong learners, and of service to those in need. In order to continue to carry out this important mission, we continue to rely on financial support of friends, families, alums, and all those who can donate to our mission.
The Annual Fund appeal was mailed in early February asking you to consider being a part of this legacy of giving, ensuring that our school remains a place of academic excellence and spiritual commitement, accessible to families of all economic backgrounds for generations to come. If you are able to donate, please use the attached AF2012 giving form below. We thank you in advance for any amount you are able to contribute. God bless you.
AF gift form12.docThe Margaret Stewart Tuition Assistance FundHow has the ongoing economic recession affected you? For many of our families, they struggle to pay their child's catholic school tuition. St. Giles provides tuition assistance for these families throught this Fund, named for our beloved former librarian and teacher. For the 2010-11 school year, St. Giles budgeted $45,000 for these families, but increased it to $50,000 mid-year to assist familes with new job loss. This is not a scholarship but assistance of $500-$2,500 for a family who need some assistance to keep their children in our school.
Mrs. Stewart was one of St. Giles School's biggest champions and making it possible for families to continue experiencing all good things St. Giles has to offer would be meaningful to her. If ou are able to make a donation to this fund, St. Giles and the families receiving assistance would be very grateful.
You can complete the AF gift form12.doc above and check the box specifically for the MSTAF. God bess you for your answer to this important call.
The Sister Marie Imelda Wilson O.P. Giving SocietySr. Marie Imelda was a true innovator ini children's education. She came to St. Giles in 1937 to begin our kindergarten. Her love was clearly reflected in her innovative teaching methods and carefully designed classroom - K100 today. Sr. Marie Imelda retired from St. Giles in 1976 and died at the age of 85 on September 8, 1991. This Giving Society has been named in her honor.
This Society helps to ensure that St. Giles remains a place where children learn to be active citizens and leaders of their community and church. In order to do this, we must ensure that our school remains financially accessible to families.
Funds collected are used to offset general administrative expenses of the school. This Society encourages and recognizes those members of our community that make this possible. There is a commemorative plaque of our charter Society members outside of our beautiful Kindergarten classroom - K100. We hope to add your name on our perpetual plaque of new Society members as strong supports of St. Giles School. You can join using the attached form below - thank you!
