Students receive a homework packet that contains all of their homework for the week on Monday. They are expected to return this packet, completed, on Friday. Below is a suggested schedule for completing the packet. I highly suggest students follow this schedule at the beginning of the year until they learn to manage their time.

Student and parent Ralph House letters.
Key information from the letters:
Build a house for Ralph, using any materials readily available in your home. The finished home may or may not include a garage for the motorcycle. It may or may not be furnished. It should provide shelter and protection from predators for this very private mouse. It should be of a reasonable size (no larger than the surface of a school desk). Students can receive help from parents, but students should be the primary builder. Finished homes can be brought in at any time, but will be due by Tuesday, May 1.
Students will also write a letter to persuade Ralph to move in with them. This first draft of this letter was written in class. The final draft will be written at home. Students will orally present this writing to the class. This is due with the house on or before Tuesday, May 1.
