I hold a science study session on Thursdays for fifth graders starting at 7:50 a.m.(similar to Mrs. Lucas' math clinic on Wednesdays). I also hold a science study session for sixth graders on Wednesday, They are open to everyone.
Please stay on top of the homework. While we appreciate your willingness to come in early in the morning, that is not always possible. Often we have meetings in the morning or other things to do to get ready for the day and cannot be in our rooms. Students cannot be left alone in the classroom.
Curriculum for week of February 20, 2011
Fifth Grade Science - We will begin our study of Weather this week, which is Chapter 7.
Sixth grade Science - We will begin our study of the layers of the earth and natural disasters.
Religion - We will continue with our study of the Mass and discuss Lent as well. We will attend 8:30 Mass on Wednesday to receive ashes.
Spelling - Unit 23 is our focus this week.
Language Arts - We will continue our study of adjectives and finish up on our senses paragraph.
