Friday
you will receive your child’s Scholastic Readiness Scores. These scores show
how well your child is ready for formal learning. Some children could use
varying amounts of further readiness experiences. It also helps show a child’s
strengths and weakness. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Last day of school is Tuesday, May 29t the
Kindergarten picnic. We ask that your children come to school at regular time.
We will renew old friendships and practice for our graduation. At 11:00 am the
parents and families may arrive in the kindergarten room for the picnic. The
picnic will end at 2:00 pm. You may leave at any time during the picnic, please
just let us know when you and your child are leaving. If you choose your child
may also stay to the end of the school day.
All
are invited to Graduation on Wednesday May 30 at 1:00 pm in the church. We ask
that the children line up in the back of the church by 12:45. Families may be
seated in church. Our class will be on the left or Blessed Mother’s side.
Graduation will last for about ½ hour.
You
will be receiving a Math Packet from the school office that MUST BE RETURNED in
August to the first grade teachers. This is a school wide program. The packet
contains activities to reinforce the skills taught in kindergarten.
As
the 2011/2012 school year comes to a close, we would like to thank each of you
for your ever-present encouragement and support. Kelly and I consider it a
privilege to have been part of your child’s educational journey.
