Students should continue to study addition & subtraction facts daily to memorize them.  We are

especially studying facts for 11 through 18 throughout the first trimester. Home reinforcement is advised.

FYI:  In the homework journal for spelling:  the FMW stands for frequently misspelled words.

Subject Religion -  Meaning of Lent: Ash Wednesday, prayer, fasting, alms giving

          

Subject: Math -addition & subtraction fact families to 18 It's best to memorize these facts!

                      Subtraction with 3-digit numbers

Subject: English -Adjectives and our senses

Subject: Reading - reinforcing cause and effect and drawingf conclusions    

                            Reading selection: "Lifecycle of a Pumpkin"

Subject: Spelling:  I have two groups.  The basic spelling group is to study words 1-12 and the

 Frequently Misspelled Words in the box two pages later.  The Challenge Group have a set

 of words I provide on a sheet of paper.  They study these words and bring them back

 and forth daily in their green folder.  BOTH GROUPS ARE TO STUDY THE

 FREQUENTLY MISSPELLED WORDS for the spelling test given on Fridays.  

 The students are given daily homework in Spelling Class; usually a page per night.

 THIS WEEK:  Words spelled with oo short u  p.65-68

ALL HOMEWORK IS TO BE RECORDED IN THEIR HOMEWORK JOURNALS.
