Reasons to Believe

St. Giles School — A Rich History: Since 1928

St. Giles School was founded in 1928 when Dominican sisters from Rosary College taught the school’s seventy-two students. Today, over 5,800 students have since been educated in the school’s tradition of academic excellence and community focused on strong Catholic values. This foundation prepares each student for a future of lifelong leadership. Today’s dedicated staff continues to build on this tradition, educating, and preparing students for the 21st century. Our success is derived from the following four focus areas:
Academic Excellence
St. Giles provides students a challenging curriculum that emphasizes core academic subjects balanced with opportunities for cultural activities. Our faith-based educational program and curriculum focus on exceeding recognized standards. We strive to be the best elementary school by challenging our teachers to maximize the potential in each student. Students participate in individual, small group, and large group learning sessions, providing multiple opportunities to reinforce academic subjects and skill development.
Catholic Values
As a Catholic elementary school, St. Giles exists to foster the total growth of our school children. Faith is fully integrated into a student’s daily life.St. Giles focuses on providing opportunities that enrich a student’s Catholic education and Catholic experience. These opportunities include preparation and participation in liturgical events, attending weekly grade-level masses, and monthly all-school masses as well as Sacramental preparation. We continually collaborate with St. Giles Parish to maintain and enhance our Catholic stewardship way of life to provide the best experience for our students and families.
Nurturing Community
St. Giles fosters a nurturing environment that educates the whole child, promotes family commitment, and cultivates long-term involvement in the school, the parish, and the Catholic faith. St. Giles students are involved in community service projects from the earliest grades through eighth grade.Outside the classroom, St. Giles students embrace opportunities to give to those less fortunate in the community. Living true to the Catholic faith, students develop their own ideas to help others throughout the year.
Lifelong Leadership
St. Giles focuses on developing successful graduates, lifelong learners, and citizens of the global market.  St. Giles teachers are dedicated to the development of the skills in each of their students, laying the foundation within each student, so they have the skills to become lifelong leaders.  Leadership means responsibility. As students progress through each grade level, teachers continue to reinforce a student’s individual responsibility for their own success.
