Special 8th Grade Policy Trimester Three
Dear 8th Grade Parents and Students,
With all of the exciting 8th grade trips approaching, we would like to make you aware of our trimester 3 policy for 8th graders. In order to participate in privileges such as Chicago on Foot, Six Flags, and the picnic, the 8th graders must comply with the following expectations:
Students with any outstanding missing work in trimester three will not be permitted to attend the school picnic. Instead, they will stay behind with a teacher to make up the necessary assignments.
Students with three after school detentions in trimester three may not participate in Six Flags and Chicago on Foot.

S.M.A.R.T. Goals Mentorship JH Students
Parents and Students,
Smart Goals are the Best Goals. Students have been exploring self discipline and striving to be self reflective thinkers through goal setting this year. By the end of the year, students will be able to define short –term and long-term goals and follow through with the steps needed to reach longer term goals.
The JH Unit is implementing a student/teacher mentorship program in order to aid this learning process. Our plan is to guide students in their journey to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals for themselves. Through frequent check-in meetings and thoughtful reflection, we aim to keep students on track! Please look out for times of Ms. Lewandowski’s student times. These will be updated as the year goes on. Please email me if you have any questions, firstname.lastname@example.org
