About the Teacher - Sara Spencer

Hello All and Welcome!!

My name is Sara Spencer and this is my 6th year at St. Giles!!

I am a graduate of St. Giles School.  After finishing at St. Giles I continued on to a Catholic High School.  I enjoyed my experience in the Catholic school environment so much that when I was applying for my Bachelors and my Masters I followed this educational path.  I love being apart of the Catholic school atmosphere, which is why I am so excited to teach at St. Giles School where I am free to share my faith and moral compass with tomorrows leaders.  I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from St. Joseph’s College and my MBA from Lewis University. I currently reside in Elmhurst with my husband and crazy, but fun-loving dog!!  My husband and I are expecting to add two new members to our family this January!!

Mrs. Spencer
Mrs. Sara Spencer

This year we are very lucky to have Mrs. Ritten helping out in the classroom.  She is very excited to work with the students and have a super awesome year!!

In the mornings Mrs. Kathy Ritten:

“Hello first-graders!
My name is Kathy Ritten and I am so excited to be your classroom aide in Room 101.  I went to St. Giles when I was in first grade, and I was in Room 101 too!
I am married, and my husband and I live in Oak Park, not far from St. Giles School.  We have five daughters, all five of my girls graduated from St. Giles School, and all have worked for the APEX program.
I look forward to getting to know you and your families this year!”
