Religion – Our first grade hosted Prayer Service this week. Wednesday, October 7, was the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. We learned that the rosary is a set of prayers organized, so to speak, by the Blessed Mother to help us remember the events of Jesus’ life ranging from before he was born to after his death. There are 15 mysteries of the rosary organized into 3 groups; joyous, glorious, and sorrowful. Our class has focused on the joyous mysteries. We shared the first joyous mystery, The Annunciation, at today’s Prayer Service. We will continue talking and learning about the rosary and share the other four joyful mysteries at the next two Prayer Services.
