Art Club is under way and students meet once a week during lunch/recess according to their grade levels. Students are working on Sea Life Scratch Paper projects. Students have been drawing fish, sharks, octopus, star fish, crabs and sea weed. They transfer their drawings to black scratch paper. Then, they use wood tools to outline drawings and add textures and solid areas. When students scratch away the black ink, many bright colors are revealed underneath. Once the art club projects are finished, I will upload some to my teacher page and display all of them in the hallway! Later in October, art club students will sculpt clay skulls!
