Monday – Please check Powerschool for missing assignments! I have not designated a particular day for i-Ready, but remember you MUST complete AT LEAST 45 minutes in math each week!
Fifth Math – Copy the following into your textbook:
Then complete p. 685. Don’t worry about estimating but do make sure you find equivalent fractions and simplify any fractions when necessary. Please show any calculations below the problems and rewrite 9-12 so they are in vertical form (like #3-8). Send me a picture of p. 685 only.
Fifth Science- No new science for today. Remember that your endangered animal projects are due Tuesday, May 5.

Tuesday – Check out this video about the new lions (our school mascot!!) at the Brookfield Zoo!
There is also an opportunity to draw pictures of the two brothers! Brookfield Zoo has presentations about all kinds of animals. Check it out!
Please resubmit an assignment if I ask you to redo some problems/parts. I have tried to let you know when you get something wrong, but if you still don’t understand something, please let me know!
4th Science – There are no new assignments. Continue to work on your plant project. I will have a Zoom meeting today (Tuesday) to answer any questions you may have. The link was sent to parent emails.
5th Math – View the video in Google Classroom on subtracting mixed numbers with renaming. Copy the 5 problems in your notebook as I do them. Then fill in p. 689-690. Then complete p. 691.
5th Science – Please read text p. 280- 282 and answer the questions. The “Make Meaning” question on p. 282 can be answered to the left of the question. Send me pictures of the pages.
Wednesday – This is a professional Development Day for all the teachers. No new assignments!

4th Science – Please watch the following video on how bees help with pollination. Write down 5 facts you learned from the video and send me the facts.
5th Math -Complete the Chapter 9 Review, p. 695 -697. You don’t have to do 6 – 8 and you don’t have to estimate for 18 – 23. Don’t forget to show your work, especially for the word problems. Also all answers should be in simplest form.I will host a Zoom meeting at 10 a.m. this morning for anyone having trouble with math or just to touch base. Check your google email for the invitation.

Friday – Remember today is a catch-up day. All grades have been updated in Powerschool with the exception of i-Ready.
5th Math – Assignments this week include Text p. 685, Text p. 691, and the Chapter 9 Review (p. 695-697), as well as 45 minutes on i-Ready.
4th Science – Assignments include the lesson 2 review and the five facts from the bee video. Also your plant project is due May 11. Some of you have sent me your projects already. If you are missing something or need to correct something I have sent you information back. Please check emails for this. Email me any questions you have.
5th Science – Assignments include reading and answering the questions on p. 280-282 and watching the video/completing the quiz. Also your endangered animal projects are due on Monday. Many of you have shared them already. If you received a rubric, you are all good! If I noticed mistakes/information missing/corrections, I emailed you about that. Please look at my comments/suggestions. If you have not shared with me yet, but wish for me to look at it before you submit it for a grade, please share it TODAY! Make sure you share editing privileges as well.
