Good Morning Students –
Let’s begin today with “Our God is An Awesome God” song (below link):
I would like students to keep completed pages/work in a folder to turn in when we return to school.
I will be taking attendance each day based on submission/completion of the homework. Thanks for your continued support at home.
Writing – Today is “Free Write Friday” – you can choose the topic to write about today and draw a picture. You can write in your writer’s notebook or on a piece of paper. Write the date at the top and keep in a writing folder to turn in when we return to school.
Spelling – Complete the handwriting spelling page that was sent home in your work packet last Friday.
Reading – Complete the word sort page – click on the link below. You can print it out or you may have it in your homework packet sent home last Friday. You will need to have scissors and glue for this activity. Keep this page in a folder to turn into me when we return to school.
Math – Today math is online! Go to www.splashlearn.com to work on math problems for the day. You will need your log on code (click the link below to find your code). Please save your code because we will be using this online math resource again. You only go onto your code because I need to know how much you learned today. The instructions for logging on are listed below.
Go to www.splashlearn.com
Click on sign in (top right)
Click on “class”
Enter Mrs. DeAlba’s class code: “MZFDIK”
Complete the two assigned math activities – (1) understanding three digit place value (2) reading data from line plots.
Social Studies – Click on the link below to learn about US Symbols. We read about different US Symbols in our social studies book during class last week. You can take an easy or hard quiz, and complete some of the learning activities – Challenge Yourself!!
Science – Watch the video and read about bald eagles – our national symbol. Click on the link below. Write four interesting facts about the bald eagle and draw a picture. I would like you to take a picture of this completed writing assignment and email it to me for a grade.
You can read the closing prayer for the day.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred let me so love.
Where there is injury pardon
Where there is doubt faith
Where there is despair hope
Where there is darkness light and
Where there is sadness joy.
Oh divine master grant that i may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life, Amen.
Have a terrific weekend. Mrs. DeAlba
