Hello St. Giles Families,
I hope you’ve had a wonderful start to 2019! I am writing to share some exciting January news with you.
Next Monday, January 14th is the kick off to Peace Week. Our school counselor, Mrs. Lechowicz, will be leading us in conflict resolution activities and on Tuesday, January 15th there is an all school mass. For this special mass, and for the school masses that follow, students will be seated with their buddies. This is such a nice way to share love and fellowship across our various grade levels.
Also, mark your calendars for the week of January 27th. This is the traditional time of the year that Catholic Schools Week is celebrated across the diocese. Our school is hosting an Open House on Sunday the 27th at 12:30 until 2:30 and all are welcome. In addition to the Open House, fun events will be held throughout that week. I hear that the buddies will be eating lunch together one day and something tells me that a faculty versus student volley game will be held that Friday afternoon. On a side note, you will find me in the cheering section, as sports and I don’t get along.
Last, spring conferences are right around the corner. You may be hearing from your child’s teacher and/or the office ladies for further information. I can tell you that the date is February 7th from 12:30 until 7:00.
Warm regards,
Ms. Elizabeth Gallo ;)))))))))))
