Johnny Appleseed

Hello 103 Families,

This week in class we will be discussing John Chapman aka Johnny Appleseed.  We will be doing activities with apples all week as well as learning about Mr. Chapman himself.  We will be discussing the different parts of the apple, doing a taste test of different apples, how we make different things out of apples, making apple sauce and much more….
BUT we really need your help.  With all of these apple activities we were hoping that each child would be able to bring in at least one apple.
So, we can get a variety of apples we are asking that you bring in a red, yellow, or green apple.
I will be able to provide everything else that we will need to make the apple sauce and do the other activities this week.  If you could please send the apple with your child by Wednesday 9/26 that would be amazing.
Due to Johnny Appleseed we will not have a reading story this week, instead we will be reading books about Johnny Appleseed.  We will also have a special apple inspired spelling list that will come home with a pack of spelling activities tomorrow.

Thank you all so much for all of your help!!
