Important Weekly Messages:
We will be having a Zoom call for the entire Second Grade Thursday at 11:00 – 11:30 AM this week! I sent a Zoom invite to your parent’s email. Please join us for a Second Grade social Zoom call with our class and Mrs. Magana/Mrs. Rowe’s class on Thursday if you can.
Beginning on Tuesday, 5/12, the window for the Third Trimester iReady assessments in Reading and Math will be opened. Students can take their assessments any day beginning 5/12 even though I have it listed on the schedule for Wednesday. The trimester assessments will replace your students’ regular weekly reading and math assignments. Your student just needs to log into his/her iReady account as normal, and the assessments will be there. Once the assessments are completed, the program will automatically progress the students onto their regular weekly assignments. As with regular weekly assignments, the students should be working independently on the trimester assessments. The students may notice a difference when logging in because it may look different and there will not be an option for games. The assessments should not take more that the regular 45 minutes each. It is ok if students do not complete it in one session because the program will begin at that point when they next log in. Thanks for your continued support at home.
Weekly Reading Logs are due on Friday by 5:00 PM – students are expected to read 20 minutes per day (Monday – Thursday) each week. You can challenge yourself to write about the favorite part of the book and draw a picture.
Below is the special’s schedule for the week:
