Good Morning Second Graders –
The Specials Assignments for the week are below:

Writing/Handwriting – Please write about your weekend and draw a picture. You can use any lined paper, write it on a piece of paper, or use the handwriting paper below. You can look at the Grade 2 writing checklist to make sure you are doing all these things in your writing. Make sure to put the date at the top.
I am looking for proper capitalization today. Take a picture and email your work to me for a handwriting grade.**
Reading/Science – Read and complete the Nature Trail Reading Comprehension questions and turn it in for a reading/science grade**
Spelling – Write your words in stair step order (see stair step spelling link). You can print or write them on a piece of paper for a spelling grade**
Reading – 45 minutes of iReady Reading by Friday at 5:00 PM for a Reading participation grade**
Math – complete pages 645 – 650 in your math book and send a picture of pages 649/650 (homework) for a grade**
Social Studies – Complete the US Population Map and turn it in for a Social Studies grade**

Social Studies – Watch the Brainpopjr video on Goods and Services and take the HARD quiz. You will need to use the Brainpopjr username and passwords to log in (below). Take a picture or screen shot of your score, and send it to me for a social studies grade**

Today is catch up day for your assignments from the week. You can make your mother a Mother’s Day card or do this optional science experiment on making real butter.
Check to make sure you have all the ingredients before you being the experiment. You can send a picture of your homemade butter when you are finished with the experiment! You can answer the two questions:
1. Write what ingredients you used to make the butter
2. What things did you do to make the butter – explain the process
