We had a great time at The Nutcracker on Friday. I will be sending some photos your way soon…
In preparation for our field trip, we talked about the different ways that a story can be told including through song and dance. We also read a version of The Nutcracker so that we can make some comparisons next week between the book and the performance. After getting back from the ballet, the students wrote about their favorite parts. They also worked on some beginning/middle/end sequencing.
In addition to the Nutcrackers activities, we also reviewed in Language Arts and took our Unit 2 Benchmark Test. It’s a lengthy test so we broke it up into parts over the course of the week.
