The end of the school year is near but we’re still working hard! (-; Here is what we’ll be focusing on this week…
Tomorrow morning, first graders will visit both second grades to familiarize themselves with the second grade classrooms a bit.
During religion, we’ll talk about Jesus’ followers and how they tried to love one another as Jesus had loved others throughout his life. They prayed together, celebrated the Eucharist, and helped others. Today, we try to live our lives as the first Christians did. We will also talk about Pentecost.
Math – Finish up Equal Parts and move onto 3 Dimensional Shapes
Spelling/Phonics – vowel sound made by aw and/or au; short e sound made by ea (as in head or bread)
Comprehension – Draw Conclusions
Grammar – Using I and Me
High-Frequency Words – built, early, learn, science, through
We’ll conduct a few hands-on experiments to learn more about how certain characteristics help animals to survive during science and touch on some inventors during social studies.
June 6 – 1st & 2nd Grade Picnic 10:00-2:00 (Lunch will be provided. Please remember to pack a morning snack as usual though.)
June 7 – Last Day of School (Closing All-School Mass 8:30, 10:00 Dismissal)
