OPRF Huskie Transition Tours:

Details: Opportunities to tour Oak Park River Forest High School will take place in October. This experience offers 8th grade students opportunities to interact with current students, see some student performances, and receive a tour of the school guided by an upper-classman. All student must must be chaperoned by either a parent or designated chaperone. There is no need to RSVP; simply come to the main entrance on October 22nd before 9:30am and check in with the Welcome Center.
Tentative Agenda:
9:15-9:30am – 8th graders arrive& are seated in the Auditorium
9:30-10:00am – Welcome & Student Group Performances
10:00-10:30am – Upper-Classman Led Tour
10:30-10:50am – Information about Involvement in OPRF programs
10:50-11:15am – Q&A Session: 8th Graders Ask Questions to Current Students
Informational Meetings
On Tuesday, December 17th and Wednesday 18th, there are thorough informational meetings where the students and parents learn what classes for which they are recommended, and hear an informational presentation about all that is needed to know for the following year.
Open House
On Tuesday, January 21st, students and parents are to attend the Open House where they can visit an activity fair and then will meet with their individual counselors.
