Religion: We will finish working in unit 2 in our Family Life series: God’s Gift of Self. Students will review the story of Wilma Rudolph and the lessons we can learn from her determination and resilience. We will discuss the importance of setting and achieving goals.
6th Grade Math: We will begin a short unit on integers and rational numbers. We will graph integers on a number line. We will find the absolute value of a number, and we will compare and order rational numbers. Students will work on their i-Ready lessons on Friday.
7th Grade Math: We will review the concepts presented in chapter 5: corresponding sides and angles of similar figures, the ratio of perimeter and area of similar figures, finding the missing value of similar figures, using scale, and transformation of geometric figures. There will be a test on Chapter 5 on Thursday. Students will work on their i-Ready lessons on Friday.
i-Ready: Students will work on their assigned i-Ready lessons each week. They must have a pair of headphones at school in order to work on these lessons. Our goal is to complete two lessons and two quizzes each week.
