Lion’s Leap: The students of room 111 and their families have been rockin the Fun Run pledges. Well done!! Our homeroom has the lead in the Middle School and are currently at $76 per lap. Keep up the good work and let’s raise more money for our school.
We still have seven families that have not registered on funrun.com. Please do so as soon as possible. We need everyone’s help and participation to reach our school goal of $85,000.
Religion: We will finish Unit 1 in our Family Life book. We will identify our unique gifts and ways we can share these gifts to make this world a better place. We will have a Unit 1 assessment on Wednesday. Then we will begin chapter 3 in our textbook: Covenant and Commitment. We will study the story of Isaac and Rebecca and their two sons, Esau and Jacob.
i-Ready: Students will work on their assigned i-Ready lessons each week. They must have a pair of headphones at school in order to work on these lessons.
6th Grade Math: We will continue working in chapter 2. We will multiply fractions and a whole number, fraction by fractions, and mixed numbers by fractions. Students must know the multiplications facts in order to be successful in mathematics. Please study these facts.
7th Grade Math: This will be a short week in math for 7th graders as they will be on a field trip on Monday and participating in the Lion’s Leap Fun Run on Wednesday afternoon. We will continue working on operations with rational numbers. We will apply integer rules to the algorithms for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals. This requires much organization as we evaluate these complicated problems.
